1. Q. What is a modular home?
A. A modular home is built in a factory. Its transported in sections from the factory to the building site. Once at the site, its assembled by a builder such as us.
2. Q. What is the difference between a modular home and a manufactured home?
A. Modular homes are built to the same codes and zoning regulations as site or stick built homes. In addition they can be installed on a slab or foundation. While manufactured homes must comply with Federal Construction Safety Standards Act
(HUD/CODE). Manufactured homes are constructed on a non-removable frame.
3. Q. I spoke with a custom stick house builder and he told me modular homes aren’t as good as a stick built home.
A. Modular homes are just as good if not better in many cases. Consider that the sections of a modular home are built in a factory climate controlled environment. These
sections are built to factory specifications. All modular homes come with a warranty and carry the New York State Seal which says it has to built and inspected at the factory to the standards required by the state.

A. Doublewide is a term applied to manufactured homes that are 2 sections joined in the middle to make a residential house look. Doublewides can be installed on a
slab or foundation. Sizes vary from 24 x 40 to 28×76.

A. There are numerous options including kitchens, bathrooms, vinyl, drywall etc.
